Chuck Trautman has owned and operated several businesses over the past 35 years.

His first full-time job as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam era. The experience was instrumental in Chuck becoming the successful entrepreneur and businessman he is today. The lessons he learned in the Marines about himself and leading others were invaluable. Chuck earned a Sargent rank and is often referred to as Sgt. Chuck.

Chuck returned to school after being discharged from the Maines, but thought it was a waste of time as a means of accomplishing his goals.

Instead, Chuck got a corporate job at the Gates Rubber Company, where he received his first business training. The job also pushed him to seek his true calling as an entrepreneur.

Chuck was part of a group that purchased a small auto parts store in Eugene, Oregon. The store grew from $330,000 a year to more than $900,000 in sales in just two years and helped Chuck purchase two more stores.

Chuck purchased his supplier, an auto parts distribution company, seven years later. At the time, the distributor was selling $12 million a year in auto parts to independent stores.

The business would become the Carquest Auto Parts Distribution Center. During Chuck’s tenure, the company grew to more than $25 million in annual sales.

After selling the business, Chuck founded a retail golf equipment business. It grew from one store to six and more than $10 million in annual sales.

In 2000, Trautman found Dan Kennedy-style marketing and he's been a fan of Kennedy's methods ever since.

After selling his golf business in 2004, Trautman was asked to help an auto parts store and a golf equipment business. It was then he discovered his knack for helping other businesses. A new career as a marketing consultant was born.

Chuck took over the Phoenix chapter of GKIC in July of 2008. He is currently the GKIC Independent Business Advisor in the Phoenix area.

He facilitates three Phoenix Mastermind Groups and one national group.

Chuck is the founder and CEO of the Arizona Marketing Association (AZMA), which helps him promote business success for entrepreneurs. The Arizona Marketing Association gives members the opportunity to study cutting-edge marketing strategies and gather with other entrepreneurs on a regular basis.

Chuck occasionally takes on new marketing consulting clients.

He uses Dan Kennedy marketing principles to help companies find their niche, attract new customers and increase profits.
