With April Fool's Day approaching, we thought we'd share with you these real marketing mistakes and screw ups by BIG companies. Enjoy!

Coors translated its slogan, "Turn it loose" into Spanish where it was read as "Suffer from diarrhea."

Colgate introduced a toothpaste in France called "Cue", the name of a notorious porn magazine.

Scandinavian vacuum Electrolux for a brief time used the following in an American campaign: "Nothing sucks like an Electrolux."

Frank Perdue's chicken slogan, "it takes a strong man to make a tender chicken" was translated into Spanish as "it takes an aroused man to make a chicken affectionate."

Clairol introduced the "Mist Stick", a curling iron, in Germany only to find out that "mist" is slang for manure. Not too many woman had use for a "crap stick."

Even the big companies with inflated marketing budgets can make marketing mistakes.  Just goes to show you nobody's perfect!!!!
